The 7-line subway train snaked its way through Queens, the morning sun bathing its buildings in a beautiful golden light. Through the windows of the train, the hustle and bustle of the Queens borough was on full display, the warm colors of its buildings accentuated by the morning light. In the far distance, the skyline of Manhattan loomed, the sharp mooring mast of the Empire State Building rising above the sea of buildings like a lighthouse beacon.

The passengers of the 7-line train were a diverse mix of locals and tourists, each of them making their journey in the hopes of beginning a new day, in the city that never sleeps. As the train approached 40th Street, some of the passengers rose to their feet, while others lazily stayed seated as the train made another stop along its track.
